Ryszard Gburek – a graduate of the Electrical Engineering Department of the Technical University of Lodz (special field: High Voltage Technique) and of the Executive MBA (a joint program of the Management Department of the Warsaw University and the University of Illinois, USA) as well as Gdańsk Banking Academy. For the last 25 years in business (he started as a junior consultant at the Polish branch of Coopers&Lybrand). In the years 1997 – 1999 took part in the creation of the new concept of restructuring and privatization of the Polish oil sector and subsequently in merger of CPN and Petrochemia Płock and the IPO of PKN Orlen. As a Director of the Privatisation Department of the Polish Oil & Gas Company (PGNiG) he took part in the IPO of PGNiG. As Vice President of Nafta Polska SA he supervised the process of consolidation of Grupa LOTOS with “southern refineries” and Petrobaltic and subsequent IPO of Grupa LOTOS (period 2004 – 2005). In the years 2006 – 2014 performed a function of the Director of Corporate Banking Office at mBank (formerly BRE Bank) responsible for co-operation mainly with the largest capital groups from the energy and raw materials sector. In this period he acquired as Clients of the bank inter alia a large company operating in the gas transmission business as well as a large independent power producer. Since 1 September 2014 performing a function of the Director responsible for Energy & Raw Materials Sector at BGK.
